1.) What is a typical day at work for you like?
I spend a lot of time on the phone with companies, reporters, and colleagues, trying to give farm animals a voice.
2.) What major companies have you investigated for animal misconduct (including: abuse, testing and other inhumane treatment.)
We’ve investigated many companies, including Tyson, Seaboard, Cal-Maine and others.
3.) What precautions do you take when you investigate animal misconduct?
Our investigators always take precautions to ensure that they follow the law.
4.) Explain an experience in one of your undercover investigation?
You can watch a recent investigation we did in Wyoming
5.) How often do you go undercover and investigate farms?
The frequency of HSUS investigations varies.
6.) Who gives you your investigation leads?
Most often the facilities are chosen at random.
7.) When you go to investigate do you go alone or with others?
I’m very sorry, but HSUS doesn’t release those kinds of operational details about undercover investigations.
8.) Are you a vegetarian or vegan, if so why?
I’ve been a vegan for 20 years as a way to help prevent violence against animals.
9.) What rights do you believe animals deserve?
Animals deserve to be treated with respect and compassion.
10.) What responsibilities do you believe humans have when it comes to animal rights?
We take so much from animals; truly the very least we owe them in return is to treat them with a basic sense of decency.
11.) Do animals have responsibilities, if so what?
I think it’s possible that some animals may consider themselves to have certain responsibilities to one another within their group.
